Tunnel pasteurizers are devices that are primarily used in beverage industry and their purpose is to pasteurize the finished product in the final packaging.
It’s known that tunnel pasteurizers are very reliable machines and provide good pasteurization quality.
It is also known that when the line stops, products located in the pasteurization zone necessarily enter the area of excessive pasteurization, which results in the loss of part of the product’s sensory characteristics and thus negatively affects the quality of the finished product.
The goal of the optimization is to avoid excessive pasteurization of the product and at the same time to not increase the energy consumption of the pasteurizer per unit of product.
The project was carried out by installing an additional insulated tank into which water from the pasteurization zone is pumped during a stoppage, thus preventing excessive pasteurization. After starting the line, the hot water from the tank returns to the pasteurizer, so the energy balance of the device is unchanged.
